Irregular Pigmentation, Age and Sun Spots
Laser treatments and IPL can be used on the face and anywhere on the body to eliminate unwanted brown pigment. The degree and depth of your pigment will determine the type and number of treatments required. Sun protection is essential for prevention of additional unwanted pigmentation.
Facial Redness and Vessels, Birthmarks and Vascular Lesions
Laser and Intense Pulsed Light can eliminate dilated facial blood vessels (spider veins) and generalized facial redness. V-Beam laser technology can treat these conditions also but can also be used to treat Port Wine birthmarks and other vascular lesions. Treatments usually take less than ½ hour and have minimal discomfort and no downtime.
Resurfacing, Restructuring and Rejuvenation
The fractionated lasers (the 1440, the 1540, and the 2940) can help remodel and resurface your skin producing enhanced firmness, a smoother surface and overall younger appearance.
- The 1440 is especially useful for treatment of melasma, a pigment disorder seen in women that can be resistant to treatment with fading creams or other modalities.
- The 1540 is a standout treatment for acne scars and other types of scarring. The 1440 and 1540 lasers are called "non-ablative" because they produce no visible wounds on the surface of the skin.
Accordingly, they usually cause only mild and brief swelling or redness.
Fine lines and wrinkles may be dramatically improved or erased with the "ablative" 2940 laser. This treatment requires a only 4 - 7 day recovery due to the relatively mild nature of the surface wounds. All fractionated laser treatments are performed using only topical anesthetic cream to minimize discomfort.
Stretch Marks, Acne Scars, and other Irregularities
The V-Beam and 1540 lasers can improve the appearance of stretch marks and other types of surface irregularities. The 1540 laser is unparalleled for treating acne scars requiring 3-6 sessions and little or no downtime. A careful analysis of your specific condition aids in predicting the extent of correction that may be possible.
Excess, Unwanted Hair
The GentleMax Laser and the Palomar StarLux Intense Pulsed Light system remove hair that other light-based hair removal systems cannot and is safe for some darker complexions. GentleMax and IPL are fast, effective, affordable and comfortable systems for permanently reducing unwanted hair with no downtime.
